ANDRAZ TORI: Intellectual Property, Copyleft and Free Software for Visual Creation
On his lecture Andraž Tori will try to explain the concept of intellectual property and point out the problematic in the context of information society and especially software. There is a movement which doesn´t convert the results of its work in money, but in the collective enrichment of the intellectual property. Copyleft and free software in their most efficient realizations gave to our disposal many tools which can serve for creative expressions. The concept of the openness and collectivity makes it stand against the enclosing and unconditional commercialization.

CHRISTOPHER LINDINGER: Futurelab (lecture in English)
Futurelab was developed in 1996 as part of the Ars Electronica centre in Lienz. It involves both artists and scientists from all over the world and it is just this interdisciplinary nature that drives its activities. Part of its research will be presented at the Pixelpoint festival.
