If you have any questions, you can ask by sending email here.
Before asking any question, be sure to have read rules and conditions and faq-s on this page.
Q: When will you begin accepting works for Pixxelpoint 2001 edition?
A: In March 2001.
Q: Is there a fee for entering the contest/festival?
A: No, there is no fee, but there is a selection of submitted works.
Q: Is there any age limit for entering the contest?
A: No.
Q: What will happen with copyrights of my work?
A: Absolutely nothing. Copyrights remain yours. Pixxelpoint is meant only as promotion for you in shape of contest/exhibition.
Please see rules and conditions article 14.
Q: May I send 4 pixel images, 3 vector images and 3 animations, total of 10 works?
A: Yes, you may, but remember that there is a selection and that doesn't mean that all of the works you've sent will be admitted to the contest.
See rules and conditions article 3.
Q: What kind of animations do you accept?
A: Animations must be computer generated and can be 3D, 2D, cartoons, special effects, etc. Animations will be divided into category 2D and 3D.
Q: In article 9 there is written that on the image should not be the name of the author or/and the image.
What about on animations?
A: You can leave intro (that may also contain your name) and "The End" screen, but keep in mind time limit for animations. Animations will be accompanied everytime they will be shown with your name independently of intro that you put on them or not.
Q: Article 6 says that I have to send animations in AVI, MOV or MPEG format. I have several Flash animations. How can I do?
A: Flash software has an option "File/Export Movie", where you can export your animation in one of above mentioned formats. Animation obviously
gets much bigger in file size. If there is really no possibility to export your animation and send it on media like Iomega Zip or CD, then you can send it in
.FLA format (that is much shorter). We'll export it for you, but consider it as last option.
Q: What about frame rate for animations?
A: Frame rate is your choice, but as you know, the optimal one is 25 fps.
Q: Do I have to come to Slovenia to participate to the festival?
A: No, you don't have to, although you are welcome here. Just send us your works by post or e-mail.
